the men,
of the elderly,
the
stomach of the revolution
in Cuba
it
writhed under Stalin,
the
fields dried up from pain,
the
camps,
heartrending
name given to prisons,
opened
their hungry wombs
and tried to reeducate the thought
milk is scarce in Gaza
too
much blood has been spilt in Gaza
pain is beyond endurance in Gaza
the
wheat felt shame in the world’s granaries
brimming
with greed
replete with inhumanity
the
sky felt shame
crossed
by murderous bombs
in Gaza
it
is not food that is lacking in this world
it is bombs and greed that are in surplus in this world
in
both cases
humanity
is lacking
while the dream evaporates

humanidad
el cielo se avergonzó
cruzado por bombas
asesinas
en Gaza
no es el alimento lo que
falta en este mundo
son las bombas y la avaricia
las que sobran en este mundo
en ambos casos
falta humanidad
mientras el sueño se evapora
